Armorglide™ Laminates & Composites
The abrasion resistance of polyurethane and the lubricity of UHMW PE - ArmorglideTM Laminates and Composites combine these unique properties to solve some of the most difficult problems in a wide variety of industries.
ArmorglideTM modified urethanes marry solid or particulate materials with cast urethane elastomers developed to enhance the physical properties of urethane and in many applications demonstrate characteristics superior to UHMW, Polystyrene, Polypropylene, PET, LDPE, and many rubber compounds.
ArmorglideTM modified urethanes put the properties where you need them; dispersed throughout the part or in a solid layer on the surface.
Relative Abrasion Resistance - Laboratory Sand Test (Wet)
Each material was rotated for 7 hours at 1725 rpm in a 50/50 mixture of sand and water slurry. The weight loss for each material is relative to 100 with carbon steel equal to an abrasive rating of 100.
